Well the season is full swing now, right? We are seeing sights and smells of the holiday season all around us. But first, let’s consider gratitude. Given the month of thankfulness, I’d like to take a moment and address the people and things I am so thankful for, every single day. Every day is truly a gift and I like to live each day to the fullest. That may sound cliche, but it’s true. I value life and finding the beauty in all the little things. It may be the way Laina’s hair is flying crazy while she runs around, the way the color of a flower is just, so perfect, the way I feel at the end of a long day, but it was enriched with learning. Here is a photographic tour of some recent moments that fill me with pride and gratitude. And those last two? So far, this fall has been chock full of fun! (Definitely beats my summer!) We picked apples with some of our besties and Laina and Jake smooched in the fields, as usual! I baked some killa pumpkin spice madelaines…you should try them! We went on hayrides, picked pumpkins, made chili, drank fall beer, and sat by bonfires. This is by far, THE BEST (and my favorite) time of the year.

This year for thanksgiving will be very new and equally special. We have a whole new family in our life and a man that is making my Mom so happy, like we’ve never seen.  And so this Thanksgiving, his family and our family are going to have a great gathering and breaking of the bread at the table. I can’t wait.

So there you have it. I’m thankful for the people in these photographs, the moments we shared together and the dreams that are made each and every day. This is what gives me purpose, inspires me to do better and pushes me to be better. What are you thankful for?

I feel choked up with gratitude for your families getting together for the holiday. You are well loved no doubt. Gratitude returns us more than we give I think.
